Southampton have the unenviable task of looking to avoid becoming the Premier League side with the lowest ever points tally in a season and things don’t look to be getting easier for them, as they take on Crystal Palace this week. Elsewhere, Manchester City will be looking to build on their good FA Cup win at Bournemouth, as they host struggling Leicester City, while Bournemouth host Ipswich Town, with the visiting Tractor Boys another side in relegation strife.
Manchester City vs Leicester City – Manchester City to win
1/5 at Rhino Bet
Progression to the last 4 of the FA Cup has provided a crumb of solace for Manchester City this season and they will want to build on that against Leicester City here. Finishing inside the top 5 is the aim for Pep Guardiola’s side, as they look to secure their place in the Champions League next term – a minimum requirement for a club the size of City. Leicester meanwhile have been floundering under Ruud van Nistelrooy in recent weeks and this does feel like a very tough assignment for them. Backing City to win hasn’t been too profitable for punters this season but they are firm favourites for this one with most EPL betting sites.
Bournemouth vs Ipswich Town – Bournemouth to win
3/8 at Betzone
FA Cup disappointment will be on the back burner for Bournemouth for now, as they host Ipswich Town and look to press on with their quest to play European football next season. The Cherries have been one of the most consistent sides in the Premier League this season and their swashbuckling style of play has caused plenty of problems for opposing sides. Ipswich meanwhile have really struggled in 2025, particularly defensively and they could be overrun by the Cherries in this one. This should be an open game, with Bournemouth sure to possess too much fire power for Ipswich.
Southampton vs Crystal Palace – Crystal Palace to win
10/17 at Rhino Bet
Another FA Cup semi-finalist is in action here, as Crystal Palace look to keep their upturn in form going against Southampton down on the south coast. It has been a chastening campaign for the Saints, and they are in danger of breaking the record for the lowest every Premier League points total in a season. Palace meanwhile have improved hugely during the second half of the season under Oliver Glasner, and they are playing with some real confidence lately, epitomised by their 3-0 win at Fulham last weekend. Southampton will give this one a good go, but Palace can be deadly on the road, and they should come out on top here.
