Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 14/11

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Thursday’s race card is an exclusively UK edition with four meetings at Chelmsford, Market Rasen, Sedgefield and Taunton to keep the punters and tipsters busy.

Yesterday, we landed a winner at a tipped price of 7/2 thanks to Shecouldbeanything’s triumph at Bangor-on-Dee. We’re targeting more profit today and to that end, we invite you to read our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1: Clean Getaway – Sedgefield, 15:00

The Philip Kirby-trained Clean Getaway is chasing a hattrick today having won back-to-back races at Sedgefield in October and November over similar trips and the in-form 7-year-old could be difficult to stop at the same venue.

Competing off the same mark as last time, jockey Joe Williamson adds a 3lb claimer on top today, which only enhances Clean Getaway’s prospects.

Elsewhere, Morandi Second is shaping up like another possible contender and could be worth a market check on the best betting sites for horse racing.

A comfortable winner at Catterick in a Class 5 Apprentice Handicap race when last seen in October, the 5-year-old moves up in distance and into a different sphere today, but still has the potential to shine.

Best Tip #2: Tribal Glory – Market Rasen, 14:40

Fergal O’Brien’s Tribal Glory earns favour ahead of the day’s penultimate race at Market Rasen. A point/bumper winner previously, the 6-year-old returned to the track after a year out to finish second in successive races at Newton Abbot in August and September.

Further progress looks possible on his handicapping debut today, while jockey Ben Sutton looks like a valuable addition with a 5lb claimer.

Olly Murphy’s Bread And Butter looked much better post-wind surgery ten days ago when he beat all to claim the spoils at Hereford.

He escaped a penalty after that effort and looks to have solid claims today while competing a grade up. Lewis Saunders rode Bread And Butter to victory at Hereford and he turns to pair up with the same steed here.

Best Roughie: She’s Centimental – Chelmsford City, 19:30

She’s Centimenal makes her debut for Mick Appleby today and the 4-year-old could make a decent impact at Chelmsford City in this open-looking Class 4 Handicap Flat event.

Interestingly, high-profile jockey Rossa Ryan is in the saddle, which suggests She’s Centimental has something going for her. She has a solid strike-rate on AW and is an attractive prospect on betting apps today.

Flying Fletcher meanwhile, did the business on Tapeta for the second time in three races when scoring at Newcastle nine days ago and remains 2lb ahead of his mark today, despite a small penalty.

The 3-year-old should be ready to set the standard in a similar race today over the same 6f distance.

Stats and Insights

  • Sedgefield is a left-handed, oval-shaped track and is undulating in parts. There is an uphill finish to conquer there too, so staying power is important. Donald McCain, Micky Hammond, Brian Ellison, Rebecca Menzies and Sam England are the trainers to look out for at Sedgefield.
  • Market Rasen is a right-handed oval circuit that tends to suit speedier types with the turns often a challenge for galloping horses. Trainers Olly Murphy, Dan Skelton and Fergal O’Brien are the trainers to follow closely at Market Rasen.
  • Chelmsford is a run for galloping horses to savour with open bends and two straights of around a furlong each to sprint through. Trainers Michael Appleby, Stuart Williams, Richard Hughes, David Simcock and Mark Johnston have all had good records at Chelmsford over the last five seasons.
