Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 20/10

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Sunday’s race card features a quartet of meetings split between the UK and Ireland at Kempton, Sedgefield, Leopardstown, Limerick. Yesterday, we landed yet another winner thanks to Korinthia’s success at Limerick, while another of our three tips placed at Catterick (Small Fry). Profit is the target of our horse racing betting tips again today and you can check out our latest offering below.

Best Tip #1:  Power Under Me – Leopardstown, 14:25

Power Under Me tends to produce his best work in soft conditions and he lodged his seventh career win when last seen at Tipperary on October 6th in a competitive Listed Concorde Stakes.

The 6-year-old won the 2022 renewal of this race and the Ger Lyons-trained gelding should be in the mix again this year, especially with classy jockey Colin Keane booked for the saddle.

Elsewhere, Donnacha O’Brien’s Uncanny could be another name track closely on horse racing betting sites in the UK. The 4-year-old finished second in a brace of races in the spring at The Curragh and Navan, but looked even better when returning to action in October.

He beat all to win a 12-horse maiden in Naas on that occasion over a similar trip to today’s outing and he could have more to give in a stiffer test here.

Best Tip #2: Blue Mosque – Limerick, 13:30

A half-sister to talented jumpers Sixshooter and She’s A Star, Blue Mosque has what it takes to make a splash on her hurdling debut at Limerick today.

Noel Meade’s youngster really caught the eye on her debut in a soft ground bumper in Naas back in April and her win that day has looked better since with some of her beaten rivals going on to do good things. Expect Blue Mosque to pick up where she left off here.

Miss Dishy, who represents Ciaran Murphy’s stable, looks like another contender with solid claims.

A bumper winner at Kilbeggan in August, Miss Dishy has been in the frame in three of her last five races overall and defied odds of 33/1 to finish third at Roscommon on her last outing. She will compete over a shorter trip today, though that could work in her favour.

Best Roughie: Carrigeen Kampala – Kempton, 16:00

Carrigeen Kampala is a bit of a free spirit, however, despite being priced as long as 33/1 ahead of today’s Listed 2m Hurdle Class 1 race at Kempton, she is shaping up like a strong each-way prospect, at the very least.

A record of five wins from ten hurdle races is nothing to be sniffed at and her push to second at Plumpton in September over a similar trip looks like a solid platform to build something better.

Casa No Mento meanwhile, could be a better choice for punters looking for a safer angle on betting apps. With a record of 4-5 over hurdles, the 6-year-old’s form is superb and the progressive mare looks capable of mixing it in some strong male company here.

She won at Listed novice at Punchestown back in May when last on the track and if she can hit the ground running following a lengthy break, she should be thereabouts.

Stats and Insights

  • Leopardstown is a track for the galloping types with the circuit featuring a left-handed, flat run of around one-mile six furlongs. There aren’t many sharp bends to conquer, so free-running horses can enjoy themselves there. Trainers Aidan O’Brien and JP O’Brien have been the most dominant duo over the last five flat race seasons here.
  • The back straight at Limerick is on the steep side and horses with extra stamina and the ability to mount a strong final push can gain ground late on. Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott and Henry De Bromhead are the trainers to look out for at Limerick.
  • Kempton is listed among the flatter courses in the UK and as a result it tends to suit sprinting types, with stamina less important. It runs for a mile and five furlongs around a right-handed circuit with little in the way of draw bias to consider. Andrew Balding has more AW wins at Kempton than any other trainer over the last five seasons (90).
