Best Tip #1:  Shavasi – Navan, 16:22

Shavasi bagged her second handicap win when beating all at Punchestown over 1m 1f last month and got to the winning post with a buffer on that occasion.

Her revised mark comes with a 9lb increase today after that dominant performance, though the lightly-raced 3-year-old has what it takes to defy that bump and Shavasi is taken to maintain her trajectory.

Quadruple meanwhile, looks like the next-best option on horse racing betting sites with Ger Lyons and Colin Keane potentially forming a formidable duo at Navan.

A record of 2-1-2-1 between August and May was impressive and though she disappointed when finishing 16th at Leopardstown last time out, there is every chance that she bounces back here.

Chalk Mountain completed an All-Weather hattrick with relative ease when winning over C&D at Kempton a week ago and the in-form 4-year-old has excellent credentials again on his return to the same venue today.

All three of his recent wins have come over 7f, so today’s trip is ideal and more success is anticipated for Stuart Kittow’s charge.

Elsewhere, Upscale could be another name for consideration. Andrew Balding has booked Oisin Murphy for the ride and Upscale has already proved her worth at Kempton in the Autumn, finishing second and first there over 7f distances in August and September. Expect her to be firmly in the mix at the same circuit today.

Best Roughie: Groovy Baby – Nottingham, 16:17

Groovy Baby gets the nod here in what looks like a potentially open Handicap race at Nottingham.

The Andrew Balding-trained 3-year-old earned a placed finish in three of her last five runs and has what it takes to ruffle some feathers here off a meaty starting price. Handicapping for the first time could also bring something extra out of this promising runner.

Pressure’s On has been attracting the most attention on sports betting apps in the ante-post shuffle, however.

His performances have been decent if unspectacular this year, though he finished second as favourites at Newmarket when last seen in late September and could kick on from that effort on an unchanged mark today.

• Conditions can be testing at Navan due to the wet Irish weather conditions, so stamina is usually a handy attribute to have there. Trainers Aiden O’Brien, Mrs John Harrington, JP O’Brien, JP Murtagh and Gavin Cromwell are worth looking out for at Navan.
• Kempton is an All-Weather setting and though the surface is steady, the track is tight in nature and demands agility. Jockeys Oisin Murphy, Daniel Muscutt, William Buick and Tom Marquand are in action today and all four have enjoyed numerous wins at Kempton before.
• Shorter races at Nottingham usually favour horses drawn higher, while front runners who attack the circuit with plenty of acceleration can often prevail. Look out for horses trained by Michael Appleby, William Haggas, Ralph Beckett, Roger Varian and KR Burke at Nottingham.
