A quartet of meetings across the UK and Ireland at Kelso, Uttoxeter, Killarney and Tipperary combine to fill up Sunday’s race card, giving punters a chance to cap their weekend with a profitable turn.
Yesterday, we delivered yet another winner when we tipped Dandy’s Angel for success at Redcar off a starting price of 7/1. Let’s hope for more of the same with our latest horse racing betting tips below.
Best Tip #1: Chutzpal – Killarney, 14:50
Henry De Bromhead’s charge Chutzpal is in the groove at the moment and he landed a third successive victory when beating all to win at Wexford in a hurdle handicap event over 2m 1f in late August.
Fresh from that hattrick, the 5-year-old should be right in the mix again here, though his chances will heighten if conditions remain on the dry side.
Elsewhere, Rocky’s Diamond could be an alternative to weigh up on betting sites for horse racing. The 4-year-old was in action yesterday and delivered the goods at Gowran Park over 3m and that was his second win in three outings since April.
The quick turnaround between races might be significant, though he should have a shot at following up if conditions turn heavy.

Best Tip #2: Gorgeous Tom – Tipperary, 16:50
We’re sticking with Henry De Bromhead’s stable for our second tip and Gorgeous Tom is shaping up like a contender with top credentials in the penultimate race at Tipperary.
The in-form 6-year-old managed to win three of his last four races and looked the part when triumphing at Wexford in a Novice Chase when last seen in August. Expect another bold bid from Gorgeous Tom here.
Gordon Elliott’s Shecouldbeanything is another interesting prospect. The 136-rated hurdler has already lodged five wins up to 2m 4f and should enjoy today’s trip and conditions combination.
Willie Mullins will also feel he has a chance with A Penny A Hundred, who won at Ballinrobe over a slightly longer distance last month.

Best Roughie: Kansas City Star – Kelso, 15:50
Kansas City Star left Gordon Elliot’s stable to link up with Harry Derham last season and has been an improving sort since switching to fences.
Wins at Huntingon in January and Plumpton in March were evidence of progress, though he hasn’t been in action since May, so arrives today with some fog of war. Still, this race looks open enough to give the 7-year-old a go at an attractive price.
Lucinda V Russell’s Traprain Law looks the likeliest entrant to set the pace, however. A record of 3-1-5-1-2 from her last five races included a victory at Kelso in December last year in a similar event to today’s.
The 6-year-old looks like a progressive type who could be ready to shine on his first appearance since April. He’s definitely worth tracking on betting apps.

Stats and Insights
- While there isn’t much of a draw bias to consider at Killarney, the nature of the track tends to suit the more agile horses due to the tightness of the turns. Willie Mullins, JP O’Brien, Henry De Bromhead, E Bolger and Gordon Elliott are the trainers to follow with interest at Killarney.
- The circuit at Tipperary is a left-handed oval with some sharp turns at either end. The same big hitting trainers, Willie Mullins, Henry De Bromhead, Gavin Cromwell, Gordon Elliott and Noel Meade have all been successful at Tipperary over the last five seasons.
- Nipper horses are usually better backed than gallopers at Kelso and when conditions turn heavy there, stamina is a useful attribute to wield. Jockeys Brian Huges, Ryan Mania, Derek Fox, Sean Quinlan and Craig Nichol are all in action at Kelso today and all five have performed there before.
