Sunday’s race card features meetings across the UK and Ireland at Bath, Doncaster, Musselburgh and the Curragh, and as long as the weather holds, punters should be able to cap their weekend with another enjoyable day of action at the track.
Yesterday, our three picks returned two placed runners and yet another winner thanks to Porta Fortuna’s triumph at Leopardstown. View our latest horse racing betting tips for Sunday’s events below.
Best Tip #1: Al Sayah – Bath, 15:40
Neil Mulholland looks to have a top horse in his possession in Al Sayah. The 4-year-old won twice in a row over hurdles in May at Fontwell and Hereford before surging to a comfortable win over 2m1f at Bath on his return to the flat racing sphere in June.
With jockey Sean Bowen bringing quality and a 3lb claimer to the saddle today, this in-form charge could be the one to back again.
Competition could be offered by the similarly in-form Boy George. He’s been scratching at career-best form this summer with his best efforts coming in wins at Bath and Windsor, with both of those victories arriving inside his last three outings.
He has better handicapped younger opponents to best today, though he remains a good prospect on horse racing betting sites in the UK.

Best Tip #2: Fair Angellica – Doncaster, 15:15
Fair Angellica deserves plenty of attention ahead of the day’s second third at Doncaster. A triumph in a Listed race in France at Deauville in early July really turned heads and Richard Hughes’ talented 3-year-old has been running along a vertical trajectory since last year.
With six wins from her last eight starts overall, Fair Angellica is tough to oppose and she should be a major player again today.
For an option with a meatier price, consider Andrew Balding’s Topanga. The 3-year-old has been a big improver since fitting cheekpieces and excellent efforts at Haydock (1st) and Chester (3rd) were followed up by a win in a Listed event in Baden, Germany when last seen on August 21st.
Today will offer a stiffer challenge, however, she deserves to be factored into calculations.

Best Roughie: Keke – The Curragh, 13:50
The opening race at The Curragh is shaping up to be a competitive affair, though Keke, who is still available at an attractive price on the best betting apps, gets the nod.
The progressive 4-year-old arrives in search of a fourth successive win having done the business at Navan, Down Royal and The Curragh between June and August. His last win at this venue was achieved over 6f and he can pose a threat over the same distance again.
Elsewhere, Greek Flower is another name with good credentials. She won back-to-back races at this venue last term and has been knocking at the door at The Curragh again over the summer.
She finished second twice in a row here in June and July, and on that form alone, she looks like a good each-way prospect today. My Mate Alfie is another former Curragh winner and could also be in the mix for Ger Lyons.

Stats and Insights
- The circuit at Bath is generally a fair run, however, the run-in to the winning post moves along an incline and galloping horses can gain ground at the last. Trainers Tony Carroll, Clive Cox, Adrian Wintle, Eve Johnson Houghton and Rod Millman all know what it takes to win at Bath.
- Doncaster provides a fair setting for most horses due to the lack of undulations and awkward turns at the circuit. Trainers John & Thady Gosden, Richard Hannon, William Haggas, Roger Varian and Andrew Balding have all enjoyed plenty of success at Doncaster over the last five seasons.
- The track at The Curragh is a unique prospect and with a taxing uphill finish to close, horses with extra stamina can often have the edge. Jockeys Ryan Morre, Colin Keane, WJ Lee, Shane Foley and Seamie Heffernan have all claimed numerous wins at The Curragh over the last five flat campaigns. All five are in action today.
