Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 11/09

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Racing fans have a quartet of meetings to enjoy on Wednesday with events at Carlisle, Lingfield, Worcester and Cork combining to fill up the day’s race card. Yesterday, two of our three selections placed, though we resume our hunt for winners today and to that end, you can read our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Time Tested – Lingfield, 16:15

Time Tested gets the nod to succeed in the fourth race of the day at Lingfield ahead of rest in what is shaping up to be handicap flat event of a modest standard.

Victorious in two of his last three starts overall, Time Tested won at Lingfield when last seen at the end of August and has moved up just 4lb in the ratings since his success. Michael Bell’s in-form colt is difficult to oppose here.

Zousca meanwhile, could offer an each-way alternative on online horse racing betting sites. The filly race raced just three times since October last year but has made progress on each occasion, finishing second at Catterick on August 28th on her most recent outing.

Moving to the handicapping sphere today could suit and the 3-year-old has what it takes to produce another good run.

Best Tip #2: Rebel Diamond – Cork, 15:45

Rebel Diamond heads to the Rebel County today in search of a second win on the spin and the 2-year-old improver is taken to deliver ahead of some less experienced competitors.

With five races already under his belt, the colt already has more about him than most today and before he won at Naas last month, he posted second place finishes at Sligo and Leopardstown. Rebel Diamond is the one to back here.

Temperance showed flashes of potential on her recent debut at Tipperary on September 1st and she could build on that fifth-place showing here. The trip is slightly shorter at Cork today, which adds some guesswork to her prospects, but she should be thereabouts regardless.

JP O’Brien’s Vanilla Baby, is a half-sister to seven winners, and completes the trio of likely candidates.

Best Roughie: Hostile Hotelier – Worcester, 17:10

Hostile Hotelier was a dual winner over hurdles last season over 2m and 2m4f and today’s event at Worcester has the makings of an ideal sort of race for the 6-year-old.

He pulled up when last seen at Southwell in Apil, but won there directly before that and is 2-2-1 from his last three completed runs overall. Returning after a break of five months today, Jennie Candlish’s charge could be worth cosying up to for this FBC Manby Bowdler Handicap Hurdle.

Elsewhere, Long Draw has been a popular choice among ante-post bettors on betting apps in the UK. He got off the market at Ffos Las over 2m4f when last seen back in May and though will race off a 6lb higher mark today, he has solid credentials again.

Oceanline, who was a winner at Worcester over a slightly longer trip last month, also warrants respect, despite a 4lb rise.

Stats and Insights

  • The track at Lingfield is a tight run on a Polytrack surface, so horses with previous experience there can often be the ones to pin your hopes on. Andrew Balding, Tony Carroll, Archie Watson, Richard Hannon and Gary Moore are usually the trainers to watch with interest at Lingfield.
  • The flat circuit at Cork in Ireland’s south west is a right-handed oval course, though shorter races can be run on a straight track. Jockeys WJ Lee, Colin Keane, Ronan Whelan and Chris Hayes have all won at Cork before on numerous occasions and all four will be in action at today’s meeting.
  • There are two long straights, straightforward turns and kind jumps for horses to look forward to at Worcester, making it one of the easier tests on the UK circuit. Fergal O’Brien has won an unmatched 42 races at Worcester over the last five seasons, making him the most successful trainer there over that period.
