Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 10/09

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Tuesday’s race card features meetings at Catterick, Leicester, Lingfield, Newcastle and Galway on another busy day at the track across the UK and Ireland. Yesterday, we landed a winner thanks to The Wallpark’s success at Galway, while another of our three picks, Fighting Poet, placed at Brighton. View today’s set of free horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Monaserboice – Galway, 16:05

Monasterboice finally scored on his ninth try when beating all to win at Killarney in July and he hasn’t looked back since. New front-running tactics seem to have done the trick and his opening salvo was followed up with further back-to-back wins at Galway and Killarney again.

Now chasing a fourth triumph on the spin, the in-form 3-year-old returns to Galway with Colin Keane in the saddle and that pair should be difficult to stop.

Elsewhere, Clear Quartz could be another name to weigh up on horse racing betting sites.

Something of a course specialist at Galway, Clear Quartz was a winner on the second day of the Festival in late July over C&D and despite finishing fourth when last seen, a strong finish on that occasion made for some momentum. The 7-year-old has decent claims again here.

Best Tip #2: One Of Our Own – Catterick, 16:22

One Of Our Own takes supreme track form into today’s fourth race at Catterick and despite moving up 4lb in the ratings, the progressive sort looks like the one to back again.

The 4-year-old shaped up brilliantly to win on each of her last three visits to Catterick – and all of those efforts have come since mid-July. That record is difficult to look past, so expect One Of Our Own to shine again.

Crocodile Power is another name with good credentials at Catterick. He won there over C&D as recently as a fortnight ago and finished second around the same circuit in a Class 6 Apprentice Handicap race in July.

Highjacked, who finished second at Catterick when last seen in late August, is another consistent type who could mount a challenge.

Best Roughie: Fillyfudge – Leicester, 14:10

Fillyfudge finished second in this race in 2023 and she arrives to tackle the same task in decent form having won over 1m 2f at Yarmouth at the end of July.

Her last showing at Yarmouth again held less promise (4th), though Miss A Murphy’s charge is a proven force at this venue and offers an attractive option at the odds quoted.

Fougere meanwhile, is expected to set the standard for Dean Ivory’s stable. The 4-year-old opened her account at the 15th attempt with a win at Nottingham in the summer and with the hood still on, she followed that up with a run to second at Yarmouth on August 25th.

Based on those two displays alone, she’s got to be in with a shot here and is worth a market check on betting apps.
