There are meetings across the UK and Ireland at Epsom Downs, Goodwood, Nottingham, Wolverhampton and Galway to pick through on Thursday, with day three of the famed Galway Festival in the Emerald Isle, the centrepiece. Best Tip #1: El Burhan – Goodwood, 16:10
El Burhan has already won twice over this distance over 7f since May and closed the deal with comfort at Beverley when last seen while defying a penalty.
Opposition should be stiffer today, however, George Boughey’s 2-year-old is bursting with potential and looks capable of continued improvement. Back El Burhan to complete his hattrick at Goodwood on the best horse racing betting sites.
Andrew Balding’s Brighton Boy, who has Oisin Murphy in the saddle, is another name with credentials. A record of 5-2-1 from his last three races suggests he’s on the up and though his draw to stall 16 for today’s race isn’t perfect, he still warrants respect.
Fearless Freddy meanwhile, runs off a decent mark and should be confident having scored at Leicester in mid-June.

Best Tip #2: Alpine Girl – Epsom Downs, 20:35
Alpine Girl has really looked the part in her last two outings to win at Lingfield and Salisbury and she is shaping up as the one to back in the day’s last race at Epsom Downs.
She surged up from last place to triumph over 6f at Salisbury last month and the 2-year-old has moved up just 2lb in weight since. Alpine Girl holds leading claims again here on current form and a hattrick could be in the works.
Enderman meanwhile, has been falling on the wrong side of fine margins this summer, though he has the capacity to make another solid push in a small field today.
The 6-year-old has a record of 2-2-2-2-3 from his last five races and running off the same mark here, he could be thereabouts again.

Best Roughie: Gorgeous Tom – Galway, 17:05
Henry De Bromhead’s Gorgeous Tom catches the eye at an attractive price on the best betting apps in today’s Guinness Hurdle Handicap at Galway and gets the nod ahead of a list of keen competitors.
Nicely treated on his first foray into handicapping, the spawn of Champs Elysses was a player in maidens over the winter before he scored for the first time at Naas in April. Daddy Long Legs looks like the best from a handful of Willie Mullins’ entries in today’s renewal. A winner at Punchestown ahead of 23 others in April, the 5-year-old wasn’t involved at Tipperary (5th) when last seen, however, a return to form today would make him a chief contender, despite climbing up 15lb since his last success.
Hattrick hunting Petrol Head could be another name for shortlists at a bigger price.

- Goodwood is one of the most unique courses on the UK circuit and all types are generally challenged by the tricky nature of the venue. Trainers Andrew Balding, William Haggas and Richard Hannon have all enjoyed plenty of success at Goodwood over the last five seasons.

- The track at Epsom Downs has both right and left-handed turns, making it a unique setting in the UK. Consistency can be difficult to find there, however, trainers Andrew Balding and Jim Boyle have both posted double-figure wins at Epsom Downs over the last five campaigns.
