Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 10/07

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Wednesday’s race card line up is a bumper edition with meetings at Catterick, Ffos Las, Kempton, Lingfield, Yarmouth and Fairyhouse across the UK and Ireland to dive into. Yesterday, a couple of our tips placed, though we resume our search for winners today and to that end, we’ve laid out our latest horse racing betting tips below.

Best Tip #1:  Sixpack – Fairyhouse, 18:00

Sixpack has made excellent strides since moving up in distance at Roscommon on May 13th and his record of 2-1-1 from three races since is difficult to ignore.

Still relatively unexposed as a stayer, he should be a player again today, especially with cheekpieces added for the first time. The hattrick chaser has what it takes to deliver again here.

Extensio meanwhile, could also be worth a market check on horse racing betting sites. The 7-year-old finished in a disappointing 6th at Fairyhouse when last seen, though he finished the Autumn in much better form and if that sort of vim can be recaptured, he should be in the frame to do well today.

Best Tip #2: Atlantic Gamble – Kempton, 18:10

There are several eye-catchers in this competitive handicap race at Kempton this evening, though preference is for Atlantic Gamble, who is in red-hot form.

William Knight’s 3-year-old had plenty of market support before finishing his last race at Wolverhampton in a dead heat, though he won twice on the spin before that at Yarmouth and Kempton, and running the same distance at the latter today should suit.

Elsewhere, Theworldisnotenough could be one to track when representing last year’s winner of this renewal.

He put together a run of 1-2-4 between April and May before failing to impress on Tapeta at Wolverhampton (9th). Still, he has a big run in him and could have stronger credentials on his switch to Polytrack today.

Best Roughie: Anif – Yarmouth, 17:10

Anif has more miles under his belt than many of his rivals today, however, he has been setting a high standard at Yarmouth this summer and narrowly missed out on a hattrick there on his last outing on June 28th. Anif comfortably got the better of today’s opponent Alexander James at Yarmouth last month, and he could have the edge again in today’s rematch.

Moreginplease is the current market leader on the best betting apps in the UK, though there are more attractive alternatives elsewhere.

Fletcher’s Flight falls into that category. A former 6f novice winner, he returned from a lengthy break to finish third at Yarmouth in May and having undergone wind surgery since, he should have the staying power to compete here.

Stats and Insights

  • The track at Fairyhouse is square-shaped and offers a fair setting to most. There is a slight incline towards the finish, though the rise isn’t overly testing. JP O’Brien, GM Lyons and JP Murtagh are usually the trainers to look out for at flat races at Fairyhouse.
  • Kempton is another fair setting, though it is generally considered a fast track and horses with pace can often have a better time of it there. Trainers Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson both have top records in jump and flat races at Kempton over the last five seasons.
  • The five-furlong finishing straight at Yarmouth can allow galloping horses to build up a powerful head of steam as they approach the post. Trainers William Haggas, John & Thady Gosden, Michael Bell, George Boughey and Ed Dunlop have all enjoyed plenty of success at Yarmouth over the last five seasons.
