Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 19/06

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

Wednesday’s race card line up features meetings at Royal Ascot, Hamilton, Nottingham, Ripon and Worcester across the UK and with sunny weather forecast, a day of quick races and fast profit could be in the works. View our latest expert horse racing betting tips for the day’s action below.

Best Tip #1:  Ten Commitments – Nottingham, 18:20

Ten Commitments defied his odds to produce a late surge to second on his handicapping bow at Salisbury eight days ago and competing off the same mark today, he could be the one to set the standard in what could be a lower-quality race at Nottingham.

He has a bit to prove on slightly slower ground, however, competition isn’t as stiff and that could make the difference.

RMH Cowell’s Dark Dreamer could also be worth a glance and a market check on horse racing betting sites. He delivered with strong backing to win at Kempton on April 3rd and was involved in subsequent runs at Windsor (2nd) and Kempton (4th) again after that.

There is a 2lb increase to bear today and he will need to improve, however, an each-way finish isn’t out of the question.

Best Tip #2: Tonto Foley – Worcester, 14:05

Tonto Foley is hattrick chasing today following recent wins at Taunton and Hereford, and if his form holds his third triumph on the spin should follow. The 6-year-old won by a shade under four lengths in a Class 5 race last time out and has been nudged up just 7lb since.

A similar trip in the same grade could set him up for more success at Worcester and he is taken to deliver again.

Finalshot is an interesting entry further back the field and if he can find his stride quickly after a lengthy 246-day absence, then he can offer something.

A previous winner over 2m at Hexham, Finalshot has done the business before, but will need to blow off the cobwebs fast to produce a repeat performance.

Best Roughie: Beshtani – Royal Ascot, 17:05

Beshtani was a force to be reckoned with in France where he won three times over 1m and he looked the part on his UK debut on May 31st when finishing second in a Class 2 Handicap at Epsom.

Running off the same mark today, this low-mileage charge can improve again, especially with James Doyle booked for the saddle and Beshtani is given preference in this fascinating Royal Hunt Cup renewal.

Wild Tiger meanwhile, has been topping the billing on the best sports betting apps in the ante-post markets. The lightly-raced 5-year-old is unbeaten in his last three starts on UK soil, with his last win coming at Goodwood on May 24th over a distance of 7f.

He moves up in trip today, but can be just as effective and warrants plenty of respect.

Stats and Insights

  • The track at Nottingham is a flat setting in the main, though longer races there feature a sharp turn which can favour front runners. Trainer Michael Appleby has lodged 25 wins at Nottingham over the last five years, though William Haggas (22%) has a better win rate over the same period.
  • The circuit at Worcester is an oval shape with long straights and straightforward turns. All of the jumps are positioned on those straights, making them easier to navigate. Jockeys Sean Bowen, Sam Twinston-Daies and Harry Cobden have excellent course form at Worcester and all three are riding there today.
  • It’s always worth finding horses with good previous course at Royal Ascot. Trainers William Haggas, Andrew Balding, John & Thady Gosden, Charlie Appleby and Roger Varian are always worth tracking there. Keep an eye out for jockeys Jim Crowley, Ryan Boore, William Buick and Oisin Murphy too.
