Plenty of action over the stayers trip at Harlow tonight, with three tips over the 592m trip with some of the local favourites on show. It’s a good looking card on offer with some solid two and four bend action to enjoy as well.
Minnie to Enjoy the Return to Stripes
Things didn’t go to plan for Diesel Minnie in the 592m heats last week but she can reverse the places with Malbay Pippa in the final at 20.43 for trainer Michael Fawsitt.
She found her rival checking her momentum at every turn seven nights back but the move into trap 6 can make the difference. The last time that she was out this wide she bolted out the lids and absolutely thrashed a better field than this. Hopefully she can do so again.
Proctor’s Girl Can Move to the Front
Kevin Proctor has a pair of very strong chances on the card, notably Front Move in the 19.44. She has some strong form over this 592m trip in the past, including beating Diesel Minnie in her last race.
That is rock-solid form around here and with an ideal launchpad right on the outside, she should have the perfect clear run round which can see her produce the best of her form once more.
Society Can Make It a Proctor Double
One of the most adaptable hounds at this track is Proctor’s Front Society who runs over 415m at 20.03. She was a recent winner over the 592m trip here but also has enough natural speed to be competitive over 238m prior to that.
She should have this race set up well for her with plenty of early pace in the outside pair of traps. With those two getting racing straight away, it can soften them up for her to pick them up late.
Cain Looks More Than Able Now Dropped in Trip
Ballintuber Cain was pitched straight into a 769m contest here on his U.K debut. His stamina gave out from the seventh bend that night and given it was his first run in three months, it was a solid performance.
He was in front at this trip so the drop back to 592m in the 18.48 looks a big plus for his chances. This draw is a touch wider than ideal but there is not a lot of early pace inside him so he looks the way to go for Marlene Westwood.
Giovani to Run Out a Decisive Winner
One of the best drawn dogs on the card is Decisive Giovani, running for Mark Fenwick at 20.23. This is a 238m maiden contest, his best form coming over the 265m trip at Central Park.
He is a bang railer as is his rival in trap 3. The hound that splits that pair, however, moved middle in a trial here which suggests that the 2 and 3 are going to clash early. If that happens, the pick can slip clean up the inside to quickly take control.
